National Radio Day

August 20, 2021 simpletreasuresforsaleblog

Each year on August 20th, National Radio Day recognizes the great invention of the radio. Celebrate the news, information, music, and stories carried across the airwaves.

Several inventors had a part in the invention of the radio in the late 1800s. Amazingly, not just one person can be credited with its beginning. Instead, each component developed through invention and discovery. As these technologies converged, the radio came to life.

To celebrate National Radio Day, I want to give special recognition to my favorite radio personality and friend.   Red Hot Brian Scott is currently on Peoria’s Z92.3 and hosts Brian & the Morning Grind.  Red Hot Brian Scott has had a longtime career in radio he has made his way from Atlanta, Georgia to Birmingham, Alabama to Mobile, Alabama to Pensacola, Florida to Quad Cities Iowa, Waterloo Iowa & Galesburg, Illinois.

When I met Brian he was part of a very popular morning show in Davenport, Iowa called Red Hot and Tony Tone.  At the time they did several remote radio gigs and it was a weekly Friday event at a Quad City Club that I first came across the wacky duo in person.   Over the years I have followed Brian’s career and am proud to consider him a friend.  Brian has provided millions with the much needed escape from life just by being his normal wacky self.

Brian has a real passion for music and combined with his natural hustle he is a rockstar at anything he does.   He is a great performer combined with a brilliant marketer.  When he isn’t entertaining everyone on the radio waves he is entertaining people in person by performing in his band Bad Hair which is an 80’s retro band.

If your interested in checking him out he can be heard on Z92.3 from 5:45am-10am each weekday morning at https://www.z923peoria.com/red-hot-brian-scott.
